Drawing is often my way of thinking ahead, preparing for paintings. At other times it is the final product.
The 911 drawings were an immediate response to the destruction of the Twin Towers in New York. While they are many years old, I believe that keeping them here is a form of memorial to that tragedy. The subject of search and rescue continues for many other events since then, whether it be floods, earthquakes, or the destruction from wars.
